ABOUT THE TRAINING

WHO SHOULD JOIN?

Community volunteers, including teachers, NGO workers, community health workers, social workers, religious leaders etc.

TRAINING OBJECTIVE

This training is designed to empower community volunteers with necessary skills and knowledge required to identify children with cerebral palsy (CP) from their own communities.

TRAINING CONTENT

  • Key Informant Method (KIM) and Key Informant (KI)
  • Definition of Cerebral Palsy 
  • Common symptoms of Cerebral Palsy 
  • How to identify children with Cerebral Palsy 
  • Roles and functions of KIs
  • How to document information of a suspected children with Cerebral Palsy 

LEARNING OUTCOMES

At the end of the training session, the participants will be able to-

  • Understand and implement the KIM method in their own communities
  • Act as KIs to identify and refer suspected children with Cerebral Palsy from the community level

  • Mr. Shafiul Islam, BSCPT, MPH. Research Physiotherapist, CSF Global Bangladesh.
