ABOUT THE TRAINING

Community volunteers, including teachers, NGO workers, community health workers, social workers, religious leaders etc.
TRAINING OBJECTIVE
This training is designed to empower community volunteers with necessary skills and knowledge required to identify children with cerebral palsy (CP) from their own communities.
TRAINING CONTENT
- Key Informant Method (KIM) and Key Informant (KI)
- Definition of Cerebral PalsyÂ
- Common symptoms of Cerebral PalsyÂ
- How to identify children with Cerebral PalsyÂ
- Roles and functions of KIs
- How to document information of a suspected children with Cerebral PalsyÂ
LEARNING OUTCOMES
At the end of the training session, the participants will be able to-
- Understand and implement the KIM method in their own communities
- Act as KIs to identify and refer suspected children with Cerebral Palsy from the community level
