TRAINING OBJECTIVE
This training aims to empower community health workers, birth attendants and newborn care providers with necessary skills and knowledge required to identify children who are at risk of developing cerebral palsy (CP) from their own communities.
TRAINING CONTENTS
- Definition and symptoms of cerebral palsy
- Risk factors of cerebral palsy
- Early screening strategies for children who are at high risk of developing cerebral palsy
- Where to refer the children who are at high risk of developing cerebral palsy
LEARNING OUTCOMES
At the end of the training session, the participants will be able to-
- Learn the risk factors of cerebral palsy
- Identify children who are high risk for developing cerebral palsy early from the community level.
